 Practices at the Burlington County YMCA are now being held Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 05:30am - 07:00am.
New swim meets have been posted on the portal calendar. For entry forms click the calendar entry for the meet you are interested in.

YMCA Affiliation and Team Meeting |
|
The 1st annual team meeting held October 1, 2008 at the Panera Bread had a good showing and informative discussion about the team. At the time of our meeting, there was no news about YMCA Affiliation. Today I am happy to announce that the Aftermath Masters Swim Team is officially recognized by the YMCA of Burlington County and beginning January 2009, the team will be affiliated with the Y. More details about the team meeting and YMCA affiliation to come.
For now, unless you plan on swimming in a USMS sponsored meet between now and 31-December-2008, please WAIT to join or renew your USMS membership.

Team Meeting |

We will hold our 1st annual team meeting at the Centerton RD Panera Bread located across the street from the Mount Laurel YMCA. The meeting will be on 1-October-2008 (Wednesday) and start at 7pm by the outside tables. Anyone interested in the team should attend. Items to be discussed (so far):

Lower Bucks Y Pentathlon Masters Meet Results |
|
Excellent swims by Adam Ritchie, Tyler Myers, Jim Lymper, and Lissa Cross at the Lower Bucks Y Pentathlon Masters Meet held on March 2nd. Adam took 1st place in the sprint pentathlon for the 30-34 Men with a total time of 2:39.29 and set a new meet record in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 25.84. Tyler took 3rd in the sprint pentathlon for the 30-34 Men with a total time of 3:00.05. Lissa brought home a 2nd in the sprint pentathlon for the 30-34 Women with a total time of 3:33.67, and Jim took 1st place in the 200 yard freestyle. Great swims everyone!

Ocean County YMCA Unofficial Team Championships Results |
|
Excellent swims by both Tyler Myers and Lissa Cross at the Ocean County YMCA Unofficial Team Championships last Sunday. With only two swimmers swimming for the team, the Aftermaths took 13th place out of 24 teams that had many more swimmers. Tyler scored a total of 35 points by placing first in each of his events and Lissa collected another 26 points by placing first in all but one of her events. Lissa and Tyler set 9 new SCY team records at this meet. Well done Tyler and Lissa!

2008 USMS Registration |
|
2008 USMS registration in the Delaware Valley Region is $30 for the year and includes a subscription to USMS Swimmer Magazine, insurance while participating in USMS sanctioned events, and opportunities to swim in other competitive swimming events.
To register as a USMS swimmer using your credit card, visit: http://registration.usms.org. If you prefer sending a check, visit: http://www.usms.org/reg/?LMSCID=8 for a paper form. Remember to use our team code 'AFTR' when registering so that the USMS will associated you with our team. This will allow you to swim in our relays and help our team earn points when you swim in meets.
